Pope Francis Condemns 'Abominable Cruelty' Of Brussels Attacks

Pope Francis spoke out against the Brussels attacks Wednesday, urging the world to unite in condemning the brutal terrorist attack.

According to Reuters, the 79-year-old pontiff said those responsible for the attacks were blinded by "cruel fundamentalism."

"I appeal to all those of good faith to join together in unanimous condemnation of this abominable cruelty which causes only death, terror and horror," the pope said at his weekly general audience in front of St. Peter's Basilica.

ISIS has claimed responsibility for Tuesday's suicide bomb attacks on Brussels airport and a metro train in the Belgian capital on Tuesday that killed 34 people and injured at least 200 more.

The pope said he hoped God would "convert the hearts of these people who have been blinded by cruel fundamentalism."

At the end of his weekly public audience, Pope Francis, who recently broke an Instagram record, led thousands of people in St. Peter's Square in silent prayer for the victims.

According to the Associated Press, Holy Week ceremonies over the next few days is drawing large crowds to the Vatican and Rome, Italy. On Friday night, Francis will preside over a Way of the Cross procession at the Colosseum. On Sunday, he will lead Easter Mass in the square and give a blessing from the central balcony of St. Peter's Basilica, an event which in the past has drawn crowds of over 100,000.

Doug Flutie Combines Football With Dance Skills on "Dancing With the Stars"

Doug Flutie, who played for the Chicago Bears from 1986-1987, is competing on this season of Dancing With the Stars, and he's combining his football prowess with his dance skills to turn out his best performance.

Paired with pro dance partner Karina Smirnoff, she wrote in her blog about using football moves to help Doug Flutie remember his dance moves.

"What has really worked for us is using football terminology and movements to help Doug remember the dance. I've also worked with him on developing a story through the movements so that each one makes sense to him as we progress through the dance," she wrote.

Karina Smirnoff had no idea who Doug Flutie was when learning she was paired with him for the DWTS 22nd season.

Flutie first rose to fame when playing football at Boston College. That's why his opening number on Monday evening was Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline," which is a Boston Red Sox favorite.

The dance pro has one major complaint about Flutie.

"Doug loves slouching! So I'm constantly reminding him not to give in to the gravity of life and always look up," she wrote.

Harrison Ford Might Appear In Future Star Wars Films?

Harrison Ford has hinted that he just might appear in future Star Wars films.

The 73-year-old actor who played Han Solo in several Star Wars films, stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! Monday as he continues to make the press rounds for the Blu-Ray release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, due April 5.

"I think it's quite clear that I've got nothing better to do," Ford told Kimmel about his visit to the show.

Ford shared that the death of Han Solo in the movie was something he'd been urging for a long time.

"I argued for 30 years for this to happen and I finally wore them down," Ford said.

In fact, the actor wanted the character to get killed off back when he and George Lucas were making Return of the Jedi.

Kimmel noted that the Solo death came as a complete surprise because it wasn't spoiled before the release of The Force Awakens.

"I think they knew that I would show up at their house and beat the s--- out of them," he said.

When Kimmel lamented that the world would no longer see Ford as Han Solo in the future Star Wars movies, Ford made an interesting comment.

"Who said that?" Ford replied. "Who made you the boss?"

OK, perhaps that's not exactly confirmation, but it gets the blood pumping.

Ford also talked about the news that he'll reprise his role as Indiana Jones. He and director Steven Spielberg are set for a fifth film slated to come out in 2019.

"I'm excited about this," Ford said. "The opportunity to work with Steven again on this character which has brought pleasure to so many, not to mention me — it's great fun to play this character."

Vadym Kholodenko: Pianist's Estranged Wife Charged With Murder Of Their Two Daughters

Pianist Vadym Kholodenko's estranged wife has been charged with killing the couple's two daughters in Fort Worth, Texas, Reuters reported on Monday, March 21, citing law enforcement.

Sofya Tsygankova was charged with two counts of capital murder and is being held on a $2 million bond. The couple's daughters, Nika, five, and Michela, one, were found dead in their rooms by Kholodenko a few days earlier on Thursday.

"We have probable cause, reason to believe, that she committed the homicides," Benbrook police commander David Babcock told reporters at a news conference on Monday.

Tsygankova, 31, suffered "what appeared to be self-inflicted stab wounds" in the incident and is undergoing a mental health evaluation.

According to Fox News, Kholodenko's estranged wife sought mental treatment the day before their two young daughters were found dead.

Kholodenko, 29, who is half American, is an award-winning Ukrainian pianist.

Kholodenko won the 14th prestigious Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in Fort Worth in 2013, beating nearly 30 finalists from 12 countries.

The couple were married in 2010 and filed for divorce last year. Kholodenko no longer lived at the home with Tsygankova and their daughters, but routinely picked up the children from the home in the mornings.

The girls were buried Monday at a private service and a memorial service was scheduled for Tuesday night.

"The loss of my children will be with me forever," Kholodenko said in a statement on Friday. "Wherever I go after this tragedy, my heart will stay with all the people here of Fort Worth and my daughters will rest in this soil."
